I'm Walking for NAMI Arizona this Sunday

This Sunday, on Tempe Town Lake, NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) will hold a walk for the Arizona and Phoenix Chapters. I have a team of two brave souls trying to raise a goal of $1000 for the cause. I know there are so very many causes needing funds and by all means, any donations to social causes are relevant. However, I'm going to go ahead and throw another into the mix.

My team is called, "For the Quiet Ones" to honor those you suffer from mental illness in silence. Depression, Anxiety and Panic disorders are all problems that often go ignored and untreated because of social stigmas. A growing concern is self-injurious behaviors which is showing a steady rise, especially in young woman. Given my work with young woman, you can understand my need to become involved.

Here's a link to my page where you can donate and learn more about NAMI and how they advocate for those living with mental illness and do so much to support families. I will also be posting picture and a review of the event on Sunday evening.

Thanks so much and please pass this on.
